On October 25−26, I completed a two-day course at
Aurum Academy dedicated to modern approaches in full-arch dental rehabilitation using the
"All-on-4" concept.
For me, this type of training is not just about receiving another certificate. It is an opportunity to study clinical situations more deeply — the same situations many patients face when they have lost all their teeth, when removable dentures are uncomfortable, or when they want to chew, smile, and feel confident again.
Why This Topic MattersComplete tooth loss affects much more than the appearance of a smile. It can influence nutrition, speech, facial expression, self-confidence, and overall quality of life.
Modern implant treatment makes it possible, in many cases, to restore an entire dental arch using only four strategically placed implants. A fixed prosthetic restoration is then attached to these implants, helping the patient regain comfort, function, and a more natural feeling when chewing and speaking.
What Was Covered in the Course?The course focused on the key stages of planning and carrying out full-arch implant rehabilitation:
- how to assess bone volume and bone quality correctly;
- how to choose the optimal implant positions;
- how to reduce the risk of complications;
- how to plan temporary teeth immediately after surgery;
- how to transition from a temporary restoration to a final prosthesis;
- how to manage complex clinical cases.
The course was led by
Taras Yurov and
Alexander Bikbaev. It included many practical examples, clinical case discussions, and important details that affect not only the surgical stage, but also the final patient outcome.
